"summary": "This dataset represents building footprint polygons for structures located within the State of Mississippi. It was originally generated by Microsoft from BING raster imagery. MARIS downloaded the dataset in JSON format and converted it to a WGS84 shapefile using Mapshaper software. The shapefile was subsequently reprojected into the Mississippi Transverse Mercator (MSTM) coordinate system. The 2022 release contains 1,507,818 building footprint polygons. Some fields were left \u2018Null\u201d for features due to being outside state boundaries or misclassified as buildings (e.g., barges along the Mississippi River).\nFor this release, the dataset has been further revised and enhanced by integrating ground elevation values derived from a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) raster.
